Great example. There was an ad in today's Phoenix paper for a 2003 H1, low miles, $58k. That same truck went for over 100k (list), and likely sold for 90k to it's first owner.
When the truck gets a bit older, the pricing settles down quite a bit. There's no way (unless I hit a big lucky streak) that I would be able to get another 97.5 or newer truck for under 30k, for example.
With the announcement of GM and AMG halting production of the Alpha, you'll likely see the price dip a bit, then rebound back up higher than where it used to be.
