Default Molding

I was cleaning my2006 H3 and I noticed the plastic molding that goes up both sides of the front window wasn't snapped into the top rail molding. I tried to get it back together but it seemed like it wasn't suppose to be together. My son said it might be like that so you can attach a light bar. Anyone have any thoughts on this????

If you look at the front of the roof rails, I bet they are cracked and causing the reveal moldings to warp. If it's still under warranty take it to the dealer. There are updated roof rails.

The front windshield moldings snap into the 'A' pillar and have two screws that attch to the side under the weather stripping. Easy to remove. The top of that molding has two holes that slide over two small detents that are on the roof rails.

Now, I was told by 442, to check the roof rails for cracks and low and behold there they were. Right at the front of the rail!

Well I had them replaced under warranty. That was last november. Today, I had the front moldings off to do a little cleaning, and guess what.
Cracks again. I will be calling dealer in the AM, to do it again.
