Default Redline ATF in transfer case

Has anyone used Redline D4 ATF in their transfer case? I switched over and it seems that I have a strange noise that comes from the car around 2000rpm and at lower rpm the engine has small surges. It all seems to have happened after I changed the transfer case fluid.

I had Royal Purple in my transfer case and red neutral light would come on now and then while I was driving. I went back to the GM fluid and have had no problems since.

I think I'm going to switch back to GM fluid soon. I'm starting to think the strange noise might be coming from my supercharger.
