There has been some discussion already about linking into the existing headunit. I wanted to start a forum that we could refer to as more options are explored.

I have added a new Pioneer head unit, Kicker subs and 1200 watts to my '02 Tahoe, and although I didn't get it, there is an interface module available to make the OnStar work through the new head unit.

I'll want OnStar and the controls to work with the H2, so I'd like to hear from anyone who is uprgrading.

Also, hot equipment, good locations for hiding stuff, etc. Let it flow!

I'm with you!

I've actually made up my mind to do a stereo upgrade too. Iwas hoping to get some feedback from the forum, but the H2 is so new that not to many have taken the plunge. I have seen some H2s featured on cardomain.com, but there is no technical information. Anyway, I have decided to to the Boston Acoustic Z6s (1,000 a pair) in the front stock locations. They will be driven at 125 watts each by one PPI amp. I will be using the Alpine 9798 as my headunit because the time correction features ROCK!!! I have not decided on the rear channels or the subs yet. I have two Polk Momo 10s that I will try, but depending on the sound I may do two more or go with Alpine type R subs. I want some thing BIG so I'm planning on at least 1,000 watts maybe more. I have already consulted with the audio shop in town that did my vette and we will begin work sometime after Christmas.

At the SEMA show in Vegas, Rosen had a setup in an H2. It was an all in one unit. A DVD, NAV, Rear Backup, CD, Radio, all the toys that fit into a double din slot like our factory custom BOSE system. I'm getting put in my H2. The screen is 6.5". I will be also tying it into a rear camera and eventually adding on the Raytheon Night Vision IR 4000B. That's the setup in the 2005 H3 SUTs. The Rosen head unit allows you to still use the steering wheel controls. This unit installed is around $1,900.00. The NAV system is extra. Back camera will set you back no more than $600.00. The one that will be the real ouch is the Raytheon setup. That's going be around $5,000.00. What will they think of next for toys. Oh yeah, remote starters....Astrostart has remote starter system that will not only control my H2, but it also can control my girlfriend truck. No need for several keyless entry remotes. Another all in one unit. The remote starter is $495.00 for the H2 and $395.00 for her truck. The install on the remote starter is over 6 hours. The Rosen system will take over 8 1/2 hours to install. Just a few new toys for Christmas.

What is the model of this Rosen unit, you have found the exact model I have been searching for. Their website is pretty horrible right now!

This is a scan of the photo copy of the unit I have. Sorry it came out so poorly. I can't wait to get it in my H2.

I had two 12 MOMO/Polks in the clear enclosures and was really disappointed. I also tried and didn't like 10" MTX upper-end series [I forget the model, but they were about $250 a pop] When I switched to the Kicker 5 series, the square ones in 12" in an unported box. I LOVE 'em! They are tight, accurate, and they can still thump better than any speaker I've heard. The Alpines are supposed to be good too.

I'd get one right away if it specs out and the company has a good track record.

What do you guys know about Rosen?
