Re: Yippee more bad publicity
that is just stupid, suing a person you rescued?! that just makes me lose MORE faith in humanity. There is no altruism in this, if they rescued her, it is to save her life! to go back and sue is just grimy!

Uh...did I miss something? Did someone order them to rescue her? Seems to me that they made the decision to act; no one forced them. They willingly assumed the risk in my book...case closed.

Re: Yippee more bad publicity
Probably all of the rescuers friends and family were telling them that if she had a Hummer , then she is probably rich. I'll bet that if she had a jeep there wouldn't have been a lawsuite. Lol...

EXACTLY!!!!!
no one made them do it! this won't hold up in court. they may be heroes, but they are very greedy and selfish.

Re: Yippee more bad publicity
Not so sure about this not flying in court... I have seen a lot of dumb shiz on TV lately with judges not knowing how to make judgment calls that a five year old could make, so you just don't know anymore.
Speaking of which, how did the land of the free ever end up with so many stupid people? This is open for debate...

Re: Yippee more bad publicity
The rescuers probably didn't have health insurance so I'm guessing they are suing because of their hospital bills, HOWEVER, we have to realize we are living in an increasingly litigious society. Why didn't she give me her Hummer before she intentionally crashed it? You can't cure stupid!

Just when you think you have seen and heard everything. We are becoming a very screwed up society.

Re: Yippee more bad publicity
One of the rescuers is a felon and just got thrown back into the pokey for some unrelated charge. Yeah, he's a scumbag. I bet he stopped thinking he could grab some valuables before anyone else showed up.
