Re: Nashville Flood
WOW... that is devastating, I am really sorry to see that. As mentioned above the main thing is that you and your family are OK. I wish you the best in getting through the process of getting your home back in order.

Re: Nashville Flood
Again, in no way did I have it as bad as so many, there were people who lost everything. All I had was a wet basement(unfinished) and a roof leak.
I live down the steet from BigZ and I thought I would post a few pics, sorry for the poor quality.
The first couple are of my yard, then the river which is supposed to look a whole lot smaller, lol.
We have one way in our road and as you can see it was a little blocked.
For reference this was on Sunday.

Hey Andres, sorry again about your flooded house, yea driving through some of the water was about the only high point of all that mess.
I will say I was biting my nails watching that damn river rise, ended up ok, we had no power, but Sunday night and Monday I cooked everything in the freezer on the gas grill...oh and drank a lot of warm beer
So yeah, compared to you and alot of others, we were in good shape.
And I am sure if you want a H1 you will be passing me in my old heap soon

Re: Nashville Flood
WOW! I'm glad to hear you're all safe.
Sad to see your nice house and the rest of the city like that. I know that we've been here in Oregon thinking about Nashville and the flood. You were'nt completely forgotten! I know what you mean when you say no one has even said squat about it on the news. Our President hasn't said anything about Tennessee or the poor fellas that died on that oil rig, not that I've heard.
I wish you the best, guys!

Re: Nashville Flood
Glad you weren't injured and the cars are safe! I thought about you the minute I saw the flooding on the TV. We had a small vacation home that was destroyed by the Missouri River in the Great FLood of '93 - that was a once in 1000 year flood also - seems like we're having a lot of those lately! I ripped out all the drywall and used more KILLZ than I can remember. My Hummer helped with the sandbagging in Clarksville, MO two years ago, so living by two major rivers I've seen a lot of flooding and it rips your heart apart. Things can be replaced, but lives can't.
