Stereo upgrade question
Hi all,
I just brought home my 06 H2 SUT and absolutely love it. I have the stock NAV setup w/Bose speakers...I'm looking for more bass...any suggestions?

Re: Stereo upgrade question
Search around and you will find many pics of sut boxes, most of them using 2 8" drivers. We custom built a box for a 12", but it was a MAJOR undertaking; it took 3 days for myself and one of my installers to get it just right

Do you think the speaker configuration (for a SUV) in these pictures will produce alot of low end bass? Or do you really need the big box with a couple of 12''? (each box in the photo has 3 -10" speakers)

Re: Stereo upgrade question
AWIZRD has a sut. Those sub designs won't do him any good. Unfortunately for SUT owners there just isn't very much space to put much of a box anywhere inside the truck. I have seen some boxes designed to fit under the rear seats. Try the search function...

Re: Stereo upgrade question
LM, although I think that enclosure looks like poop, it probably hammers!! At least they could have matched the paint color

You'll get real good "punchy" bass with all those 10''s I'm considering adding some 10s as well to get some of that punch bass. If you only have one set of subs, however, 12's are best. You'll miss alot of that deep hard low bass that makes alot of songs sound good. I.E. Rap, Hip Hop and Metal with good bass riffs

Re: Stereo upgrade question
any authorized RF dealer can get 'em but according to this site looks like you might have to pre-order them.
