Default cummins conversion

is the conversion by avalanche engineering worth 30 g and does it make a huge difference

Depends on what it gives ya. if it saves that much in diesel gives you that much mor HP and fbt then maybe yes. but I bet you could custom build the GM6.5td to do exactly the same or near enough at a fraction of the cost

what upgrades to choose from, which components will make the biggest impact, for the money. just not familar with 6.5 any ideas, can the 6.5 run close to cummins and duramax

Ok, so I'm a bit late on this subject... But, If you want to buil REAL power out of a 6.5 you really need to get one built up, Peninsular Diesel and Diesel Depot (which is who I would use), are two names that are worth looking at. If you want some contact info for them let me know. As far as the numbers go, you can get a 6.5 to about 300 HP and somewhere in the ballpark of 600 lb/tq (probably about 550), without the engine wanting to explode.
