Why can't I find a roller fairlead that fits? So far all I have seen on the market are 10" farleads. My bolt to bolt measurement is about 8.5". Anyone know where I can find one (cheap) in black preferably?

I thought u got the H1 so u wouldn't need a winch?

Winches are for wimps

Can't u just redrill the holes or are the rollers too long?

I have an extra warn roller fairlead. Just switched to the x-line and I am using theirs. It might be the 10 inch size, but from what I hear, you need all the inches you can get.

Ron,

Is it an H1 fairlead? That is what I'm looking for. I think it's about 8.5" wide.

I actually got off my fat H2 butt and measured...it is indeed the wrong size, 10". Sorry for the confusion. I just wanted to tease you and your woefully inadequate 8.5".

Seriously, I had no idea Warn's fairlead was that long. 8 inches sounded a bit closer to the front of my winch.

Ron Carver at 1000 Oaks gave me a towing accessory catalogue and there are some different size roller fairleads listed (black too). The distance between the holes aren't given, but there are 4 sizes to accomodate different drum widths ranging from 6 to 15 inches wide. The website is awdirect.com, the part #'s are NE-51A through D. Hope this helps.
