Default Ball joints

Ok, my lower ball joint boots are missing some pretty good pieces...every time I take it in they just grease the fuk out of them dripping all over everything,.....they say that they are fine at the dealer. How can you get them to replace them under my warranty??? any thoughts?? its an 03 and all of the mud & sand has not helped my problem I am sure...

Default Re: Ball joints

What do you mean "they are missing pieces"? Do you mean the rubber boot?

If so, they need changing. Extra lube will help, but not much if they get dirt in them. Eventually your steering will become more sloppy as they wear, thus eventually leading to total failure of the balljoints, and ultimately your steering ability as you go careening into the back of a smart car.

Photo would help.....
