I've never had a problem with the front bolts. But then I put the front on first.

Re: Underbody protection install
they maybe stick out 1/8th of an inch with is about 1/8th short of being able to grab the threads...
the rear went on very easy... dunno... oh well.. off to the fastner shop for some longer ones..

Re: Underbody protection install
You might have them backwards. I think the front are longer than the back.

Sounds that way. Those 2 bolts are longer. If I remember right there should also be a spacer and a normal size bolt with a nut. Also make sure you got the instructions.

Re: Underbody protection install
there is a spacer bar ( short steel bar ) . i had to leave mine pretty loose and beat some stuff with a sledge hammer to get where all would start . after all bolts are in then tighten it up . a milk-crate works good to help hold it up while getting everything aligned and bolts started .good luck it can be pretty tough

Re: Underbody protection install
Yeah they are a PITA to get on... I spent about 3 hours trying to figure it all out.. I bought a set off a rack at the shop, no instructions, no bolts..
I started in the back and worked my way forward.. I had to use a jack under the front part of the skid plate to get up pressed up enough the bolts would grab...
