Default Underbody protection install

ok... i have been working at these for 2 hours and cant get the DAMN front bolts to grab.. they are in NOW WAY long enough to go through the skidplate, underarmor and crossmember... What the hell gives?

Anyone have any ideas?

I've never had a problem with the front bolts. But then I put the front on first.

they maybe stick out 1/8th of an inch with is about 1/8th short of being able to grab the threads...

the rear went on very easy... dunno... oh well.. off to the fastner shop for some longer ones..

im missing the 2 extra bolts in the packing..

You might have them backwards. I think the front are longer than the back.

Sounds that way. Those 2 bolts are longer. If I remember right there should also be a spacer and a normal size bolt with a nut. Also make sure you got the instructions.

there is a spacer bar ( short steel bar ) . i had to leave mine pretty loose and beat some stuff with a sledge hammer to get where all would start . after all bolts are in then tighten it up . a milk-crate works good to help hold it up while getting everything aligned and bolts started .good luck it can be pretty tough

Thanks for the replies... I was missing the bolys from the get-go.. i looked on the instructions and i was supposed to get 2 mx38 bolts.. i ran to chev and they had some.. so all good... bring on the rocks..lol

Yeah they are a PITA to get on... I spent about 3 hours trying to figure it all out.. I bought a set off a rack at the shop, no instructions, no bolts..

I started in the back and worked my way forward.. I had to use a jack under the front part of the skid plate to get up pressed up enough the bolts would grab...
