Default Brake Lines

I am going to replace my rubber lines with the stainless ones, I had a flex line burst on me.

My question is, the ridgid brake lines, do they rust, are they made of steel or aluminum? Some of them look rusty, maybe just surface dirt.

Anyway, are they something to replace also? Where do you get them, are they made in stainless?

2003 with 130K .

thanks

I can't remember the brand but I installed a complete set of Stainless Steel Braided Brake lines about 3 years ago. After installing them your brakes will lose that mushy feel

Thanks, I know about replacing the rubber flex lines like you did, and I am going to do that.

I am questioning the long steel lines

I actually never heard of anyone doing that before. I would assume that unless you have a specific problem with them they prolly don't need to be replaced but it would be interesting to hear if anyone did that.
