06 H2 SUV air bags
I keep reading about problems with the air bags. My 06 that I have owned for about a month now is equiped with air bags and a compressor. I like this convenience. Will it be a future problem? Should I have any concerns? My 06 H2 has 27,000 miles and was well taken care of by previouse owner.
Thank you
Eddie

Re: 06 H2 SUV air bags
Thanx for the advice, I will use it. I think I will do that this weekend since it's new to me and I'm sure it was never done before. By the condition of my H2, I don't think they were ever used off the road. It was a lease so the person babied it trying to protect it's image for resale. I love driving the gas hog.
Thanx
Eddie

Re: 06 H2 SUV air bags
Over four years on my '06 SUT air bags and not one problem. If you search you will find there are many threads dealing with USING THE SYSTEM REGULARLY will prolong its life. I make a point of airing it up and down at least once a month and keeping mud off the bags and sensors, by just hosing them down.

Re: 06 H2 SUV air bags
Good advice. Should I ride around on them as well even if I'm not off roading?
And to bob, it's all good. LOL

I exercise mine regularly too, just parked in the mall lot waiting for my wife sometimes. It seems like it takes forever while the light blinks and they air up. If you ride on the road with them on, they deflate automatically when your reach a certain speed - I think the speed is 40?

Re: 06 H2 SUV air bags
When they are leveling the bags dont' extend fully - maybe 10% of their total at the most in normal driving.
