I changed out my chrome fuel door for a black one. I think it looks better to have a black door with the Adventure Pkg. This is where I got my Door http://www.jpcustoms.com/Webpages/H2-Hummer.htm They are great to work with, because when you E-Mail them a question, they get back to you right away. They even shipped the door to me by 2nd day air after they had a delay in receiving the part from the manufacturer. Great service.
My chrome door is in perfect condition and I will be be selling it, if any one is interested.

This is the only picture of the chrome door I could find. By-the-way, that is not me in the picture.

What happened with the one, mentioned in previous fuel door threads, which looked like the wheel center cap? Did this one make it through its design stage yet?

H2 Daddy:
Is the door painted or powdercoated? I've been looking for a black fuel door for a while. Seems that most everyone sells only chrome. I have seen a few (painted) black fuel doors, but I'm concered with paint flaking. I was VERY close to buying a standard chrome SMA door and just having it powdercoated. In fact, I still may do that.

In a GAS CAP I am still looking for:
* Black Color (either powdercoated - or black chrome)
* Looks like the Hummer tire cap (SMA design)
* Can be locked
This is what (my opinion) H2 owners with Black Adventure Package want. Where is it and for a decent price

Squid
The door is powder coated and although hard to see in the picture, it has a lock.

I have seen one on ebay - but does it have a lock - there is a picture of it in a box with a little yellow tag on it - is the lock behind the tag? about $134

Let me ask again - Is the Gas Cap pictured above (from ebay) one that will lock - I cannot see a lock unless it is under the little yellow sticker

H2 Daddy
Are you happy with this fuel door? I am hearing the fit on the 2004 is "Off". Has anyone tried to install this or any other black/locking fuel door on the 2004? Any problems or recommendations.
