You can certainly run 37's without a lift. I run a set of 37" KM2's for off roading without any problems. Change back to my OEM tires for street driving because the 37" tires raise the truck so that it won't fit in the garage.

Re: Can you get 37's or 38's on stocke LE wheels
yes to 37 and 38s on stock rims.
you will not need to regear, but it might be recommended to gain back any performance you will lose when you go to the bigger tires.
your speedo will by off when you go to the bigger tires. just firgure you will lose about 10%. speedo will say 60mph, but your only doing 54 mph.
what i did is bought a cheap predator programmer off Ebay for $99.
granted it was only for the 03 model, but thats what i have. ya im sure i could get better tunes if i bought a new predator tuner, but i cant justify the $350+ price tag on it.
also, be prepared to lose some MPG when you go to the big tires.
before on stock tires ( 35 inch) on 17 inch rims, i was getting almost 12 mpg
after i went to 20 inch rims with 37 inch tires, my mpg dropped to 9mpg... as in single digit 9.. and that was after alot of miles were put in. for the longest time, it read 8.something.

Re: Can you get 37's or 38's on stocke LE wheels
I have 37" ProComp Mudders on the stock 17". Not sure if anything was done afterwards, the tires came with the truck, but my MPH shows only 2- actual speed at about 50mph.
No rubbing at all, not problems turning, just good help in the mud. Did get it stuck once this weekend. Will post a video in a minute.

Re: Can you get 37's or 38's on stocke LE wheels
I have to disagree with Hellz on the speedo tuning. You will actually be traveling faster than your speedo reads. reason beeing is that your truck calculates speed by measuring the RPM of the axle. It factors in the circumference of a factory 35"ish tire. So the computer thinks that every revolution should be
35x3.14= 109.9 Inches per revolution. But when you are running 37's you computer does no know that and while it counts revolutions against time to get mph the distance is actually 37x3.14=116.18 Inches Per revolution.
Or you can do it the easy way. Get a gps and set your cruise to 65 on your dash and watch your gps say your doing 69mph. lol

Re: Can you get 37's or 38's on stocke LE wheels
I was actually thinking of getting larger tires as well for the stock 17in rims, however i do have a SUT with the air ride suspension, from my understanding there needs to be a mod done with the air sensors in the rear to make the 37's work
please correct me if im wrong

Re: Can you get 37's or 38's on stocke LE wheels
you only need to mod the sensor if you run wider than 12.5 tires.
really all the mod is, is diconnecting a lever arm from one side, drilling out the plastic and sticking a bolt and nut thru to relocate the arm on the opposite side.
there is a good write up on this forum about the procedure if you look for it

So the 37x13.5x17 Toyo MT's would cause some rubbing eh?
