Re: will not start
Sounds like your battery just isn't holding a charge and you need a new battery. Sometimes the ignition solenoid will click as it tries to engage the starter but doesn't have enough power. Depends on just exactly how much juice there is. A little more and yould probably get the real slow or partial crank over, a little less and you just get nothing, like you had the first time.
NAPA, Pep Boys, or similar can test the battery for you to make sure, but that is probably all you need. The other possibility is something is drawing power when it is off. In which case sitting for two month like that probably ruined the battery.

Re: will not start
In all my experiences with batteries on many cars I've owned.....Once the battery goes 100% dead for that long it will never really go back to 100% right again no matter how much charge you give it... I'd change it for a new one and save yourself the headache.
Its the battery for sure.

Re: will not start
That's why I have battery maintainers on everything! I been in the Middle East now for 4 weeks, probably not getting back to the land of the $ till mid-July. I know when I get back everyone of the toys will start.

Re: will not start
That's why I own three battery tenders. I keep one on the Hummer at night, one on the tractor, and alternate the other between the wife's car and my old Corvette. I use the alligator clip extensions for everything except the Corvette and wife's car, I use the lighter plug in extension. How good are they? My 1991 ZR1 still has the original battery and it cranks and runs fine.
