They wont replace unless you are under warranty is my understanding

Use the Search Button

This was covered 2-3 weeks ago its Fresh.

I was at Cerritos Hummer yesterday and asked the parts guy about this in person, there is no amnesty or grace period at all, If your not under warranty your out of luck.

Each mirror at the dealer is 410.00 each

Good Luck

Also read your manual in the glove box, it tells you how to re-set these, may work?

There is a SB on this, so they may do it anyway. But not if you don't try!

I was told by the Service Manager at Hummer that:

My Rig is a 2004 and out of warranty and he plugged in the Vin # and it pulls up no Re-calls for the Mirrors and im **** out of luck.

He did say that my Rig is due to be upgraded for Digital Onstar for the cost of 219.00 for this and that includes 1 yr of Onstar, and If its not done by Mid November it will never be able to be done?

WTF, I think they smell my wallet?

If you go to the dealer and bitch enough you might get A goodwill warranty repair or A 50/50 split but both mirrors would need to be replaced as the 03 mirrors are not available anymore, they would install the new style mirrors.

I checked my DVD today and couldn't find the SB. Could someone please post it for people to see? (Mine are already replaced.) Thanks!

I have a 2003 H2. I thought both my side mirrors had been bashed in and ruined when my passenger door was keyed in Yosemite Valley over a year ago. Both mirrors were loose, and despite repeated times of pushing them outward they would not hold in place. Driving was a pain, but I didn't have the funds to replace both mirrors. In May, while at the Ontario Hummer dealership, (CA), I mentioned the problem to a salesman. He just happened to be familiar with the 2003 mirrors. He pushed the button to roll the mirrors all the way in, held it a bit, then released it and they returned to a normal position. They are no longer loose, they stay in place and work just fine. The salesman admitted that not too many people know about this trick. So before you spend a ton of money, take a few and check it out. Good luck.

Your manual states this same thing as previously stated.

Glad it worked out.

Yes, read the manual. I also thought that ours were broken, as they were loose. Drove like that for a long time. Then my wife figured it out! The holding down the mirror button thing worked like a charm. It resets the gears inside the mirrors.
