I really can't decide on these wheel choices.
08 white sut
Can't seem to find any pics with these wheels on a hummer. Sorry if this offends anyone but I've noticed that some wheels looke a little ghetto. I desperately want to stray away from that and don't want to purhcase to find out they do.
here's the coices..... Rims will be 22 and I will go with 37's. Not sure on the tires yet. I've always had swampers but this 08 is so nice inside I don't want intrusive noise. So despite the nice looks I may stay away from MT.. (unless there's one made that's only a teensy louder than the stock bf's, new swamper m16 or toyo mt?!?!?)
Here's the wheels, what do you guys think?

Re: I really can't decide on these wheel choices.
If you have upgraded brake kit ti show off the first rin is the way to go. I can speak for quality on the diamo'd as I run 8 karat model and loe the rugged but, sharp looking of them. They have been in many shows and people still ove them. I may be getting a new big brake kit sponsor and if I do I will need to go with a more open rim like the first. So it depends on just what you need to show off. If you want to still look like a rugged H2 the the diamo's are the way to go.

The Toyo MTs will be quieter than the Swampers.

really? There is one member on here who has the new swampers that I've talked with. He sai they're only a tiny bit louder than the stock TA KO's. I don't think he ever had the TOYO MT's to comper them too though.
Have you had or been in a truck with the m16's?
chris
BTW....I'm a little scared with both of those creating too much noise for long highway trips....I"m still thinking about 325/60/22 bf ta ko's. I just don't want the rig to have a street truck look because the tires aren't very aggressive.

Yes, and yes. The "other guy" you spoke to has his opinion, I gave you mine. Without a sound meter, it's all down to what your own ears hear, and there are variables in the comparison such as how many miles the tires have on them, are they cupped, etc.
If you are really that worried about road noise, though, you should go with an all-terrain tire. Most tires such as the M16 and the Toyo MT (both on the mild side of the mud tire spectrum) will start out only slightly louder than the stock BFGs, but even with religious rotation, they will get progressively louder.

Thanks for writing back.....and ya, I am that worried about noise. I have lifted f150 that I've had IROKS and CLAWS on.....and they would spoil the nice quite interior, one of the reasons why I bought this truck, with their intrusive noise. It's exactly what I DON'T want being I will be doing alot of 1000 mi + road trips with it.
It doesn't sound like either the toyo or the swamper would be right for me. I think my only two AT choices in a 37 diameter 22in rim would be the NITTO AT and BF TA KO. My main concern with those is..... that they will not look rugged enough and my truck will look like a pavement princess. Which is the exact look I want to avoid.
I've never seen the nitto to compare...... Which AT in 37 / 22 will look the most aggressive?
