Can I cut the cigarette adaptor off, and wire this straight to an inline fuse and to the battery??

Re: mag light install
I wouldnt power it 24/7 your battery will go dead.
Run a constant power wire through a relay using a ign wire to power relay only when the key is in the run position.

Re: mag light install
I've always had it plugged in 24/7 and never had a battery problem. Just tired of the wires

Re: mag light install
FWIW,
I use SureFire lights for work, and they're spectacular! I keep two in my H3, and won't use any other light. They're small, the battery storage life is 10 years, and they're extremely bright for their size.
They are USGI Approved for tactical weapons lights and the cheap ones, which are about $30.00, are a steal for the price.

Why take up all the extra room with a MagLite? Besides, the small surefires are about 4 times as bright, and can be stored in any of the 3's compartments very easily.

Re: mag light install
I'd have to agree that SureFire are awesome as well. I have their rechargeable batteries, but I don't recommend these as they always seem to die at the wrong time. I just carry a little baggy of extra batteries.
