Default Install- H2 Tool Box Mount

So I got tired of my tool box taking up floor space. Then making noise when heading down the road. So I got a little creative with some waisted space.
(Please forgive the Picture Quality I took these with my Blackberry)

I used my old spare tire mount and got some ideas together

Had some fun with a wiz wheel

Built a nice shelf and drilled holes through it and into the spare tire carrier then threaded them. I ran 10 1/4-20 screws and counter sunk them into the wood. Its super strong.

I carpeted the self to make it quiet and look nice. Then used turn buckels to mount the tool box. Is a nice good quality box that is ball bearing an built really tite so it makes no noise going down the road.

Can you open the top lid? It might be the camera angle but it doesn't seem like it opens all the way.... not that it matters, its freaking cool either way ha!

It does not open all the way. However it does open enough to let the drawers open and it opens wider than it is deep so no worries there. Also the lid has gas shocks so when you open it, it stays open for you. Its nice. It's not exactly what I wanted but it does the job. I really wanted a bigger tool box. So Odds are after Windrock I may sell the whole setup and start all over lol.
I will say it does not make a sound at all. Even on rough roads its totally silent and that was exactly what I was going for.

I am thinking about selling this whole set up. It's nice but I want a bigger tool box. And in order to fit one I am going to have to come up with a whole new mounting system.

This thing is quiet. All the drawers are padded and the box is a heavy duty stainless and ball bearing set up. This box does not rattle at all. One of the biggest challenges in doing this set up was to keep it silent. I cannot stand things squeeking or rattling around while driving. It has shocks that hold the top open when you unlock it.

I will probably kick myself for selling this as its going to be a pain to make a new bracket and then I gotta buy another tool box etc.... But it was not my original vision. So while its a VERY nice set up I still have this vision stuck in my head of what I really want. So I would be willing to sell it for $300. I can take more pix in the daylight if anyone is interested.
