Default over heating

Well my 05 h2 has started to over heat for no reason now. It is the weirdest thing. I here what sounds like a metal on metal rattle coming from the engine bay in the area between the pedal and steering wheel. Once the hear this noise the truck will start to get warm? It only seems to happen when going on an incline when I give the truck to much gas the the rpms are too low 1500-2200 range. Any ideas on what this is. I have fluid etc no problems. I do notice that my temp will go from 210 up very fast and the tranny temp will start climbing to the 200 range at the same time.
