Default Mountain Cat Tires on Stock Wheels

I am going to have my OEM wheels powder coated black and like the look of the mountain cat tires... I believe the size would be 35/12.5/17

How will the road noise be? Are these type of tires OK for all around driving, not just off road?

Here is a link to some.. not much info though..

Well, I worked for Les Schwab for many years, and while we did not have those particular tires when I was there, I can say from my experience that those are probably going have pretty good road noise. If they are anything like the makers other tires, they should ride and balance out pretty good. I definately would not expect long life and quiet ride though.

Here is another one they have that is a good cross between on and off road with decent traction and pretty quiet ride. http://www.lesschwab.com/tires/winter/mudterrainsxt.asp

Have you looked at the Toyo MT? That is an awesome tire, and incredibly quiet for how aggresive it is. It also wears great. I had several customers who were getting 70,000+ out of them on Superduty trucks.

For the Toyos, I would say slightly louder than OEM, but those Mountain Cats would be quite noticable.

The Toyos are a little more money, but they are well worth it. Once I get my H2 that is what it will be wearing right away.

I just picked up a new set of the Toyo MTs for 1160.00 shipped. Then I decided to add wheels, xd revolvers, with the tires. All together 1800 and change mounted balanced shipped.

Thanks again for the tip... Those tires have great reviews, look good IMO, and sounds like they'll last awhile.
