Goalkeeper has a little shameless behaviour in the past

Hey everyone...My wife is ready to give up the RL and is looking for a new ride.

I had previously asked about the Infiniti FX (thanks to those who responded) but she's since ruled that out.

Today we test drove the Caddy SRX which was pretty cool!! We're also condiering the 06 ML350.

Anyone own/have experience w/the SRX of ML350? I'd appreciate any advice, positive or negative.

I STILL can't get her to consider the H3

Thanks!

-Matt

Sorry no experience with the new ML or the caddy but my wife is currently in an fx35 rental(see hummer crash tread). I will tell you that im quite suprised how much i like it. Dont get me wrong i wouldnt trade my Hummer for it any day of the week but its a nice LITTLE suv. The transmission is very smooth.

I had a ML500 for 1 year & sold it. Not built well at all. Like PhilD says, a POS. Numerous problems. Very dissapointing. My wifes QX4 is in the shop so we got an FX35 for a rental. Not bad. I like it except for the limited cargo room. I also like the BMX X5's Those are a blast to drive.

This must be the only option.

We test drove the SRX, nice car. Gotta love that sunroof. We decided against it just because it was too much like a station wagon for us. We went with another Caddy tho, have been VERY pleased with the quality and especially the dealership.

My sister has a 2003 ML500...car is pretty poor...doesnt drive well...lots of problems...example..

-heated seats
-Cluster (changed it twice in 2 months)
-brakes

Overall I dont consider it a SUV....more like a Mercedes car lifted...

I dont know about the new one but I hope they fixed most of the problems...

Caddy SRX dont know much about it......

I would suggest looking into the Nissan Murano I know its the same as FX...but a lot of people that i know pick the Murano over the FX...

I was a lucky ML owner! I had a 320 with hardly any problems. Sold it with close to 80,000 miles a year ago to a neighbor who still loves it. I would not buy another 1 due to all the nightmares about them.
We are in the market for another car and my wife also likes the Murano. I looked at it close I think we will be buying 1 soon!

Thanks fellas...

We have driven all 3, FX, SRX, and ML350. My wife is actually on her way home now for a 24 hr test drive on the Caddy. It really sounds weird for me to be saying I might buy a Caddy...

The ML350 is nice and completely redesigned so we'll probably take that on an extended test drive as well.

Thanks to all for their input!! That's what makes this site Rock!!!

After 20 years of Cadillac sedans my dad bought an SRX. It is sooo much nicer than any other caddy except maybe the Allante with the Northstar but it is awesome. I will never drive an Infiniti/Nissan so I can't help you there. The redesigned ML is a huge improvement over the minivanish styling that it start out at although I have not driven it yet. I have only driven the Galandewagen which was cool.

Well,

We had the SRX for an evening and really put it through it's paces; and we both loved it. It rides quite well, has plenty of room, corners pretty well for a larger vehicle, and I love the chisled front.

We're pickin' up the ML tomorrow night for the same deal.

Hey, maybe I'll bring the ML to the MD Hummer's lunch in Graysonville??? Just kidding...

Thanks again!!
