As you open the rear door, there is a slot to the bottom right--looks like a slot for a stereo component or something. What is it for?

That is where the air pump controls would be if you had the air suspension.

looks like your pointing to the air compressor On/Off switch

Exactly. The on/off switch and the area you hook up your filling hose for airing back up. Which is worthless IMO. I can't get mine to fill tire past about 35 psi.
