Default SUT tonneau cover lift cylinders broken??

Hi erveryone, 1st post. Trying to figure out what happened to the two "helping" lift cylinders that make the hard tonneau cover go up??
Thanks in advance for any replies, Dutch.

Default Re: SUT tonneau cover lift cylinders broken??

What is going on with cylinders? How old are the cylinders? Just any little extra info and someone may be able to help.

I'm guessing the most common problem may be the cylinders wore out and nothing you can do but, replace them. This is just a guess based on experience but, could be badly flawed due to lack of info.

Do not feel insulted by my reply as most newcomers do not offer enough info and I wanted to break you in as I'm one of the more gentle guys with newby questions. Some of the real old hats can get a bit testy from get go.

Welcome to the forum,

TAZ

Dutch, if you find that you need new ones, send me a PM. I have two OEM rods that have very little use (replaced them with the Gobi heavy-duty ones when I installed the tonneau rack).
