Default Auxiliary power line ( POWER PLEASE )

I'm sure with all the HUMMER owners on this forum, someone has got to know the answer to this one. Where exactly is the best place to drill a hole for the power cable, through the fire wall? I read in a thread on "Floorboards Wet", that if it's too low water will get in. Where is the best location to pass the line through.Thank you for any answers on this.

After going through the hassle of passing a couple of wires through the existing grommet behind the hydro-boost unit and needing an opening for a whole lot more wires (no less than 6 additional switches, antenna wire for the CB, etc.), I decided to drill a half inch hole through the firewall. The location I chose was based on the easiest access from both sides of the firewall as well as the ease of actually drilling the hole without fear of the drill bit hitting something vital. I wasn't concerned with fording any deep rivers! The pics tell the story:

Here's a few pics of some of the switches as well as wiring going to the roof:

Thank you both for responding. I will try Advice #1 and see if I will be able to get a 4AWG cable through, if not I will try Advice #2 and drill a hole through the floor board. I'd rather go with Advice #1 just for the fact that HUMMER's are a species that are about to go extinct, especially SUT's and I want to keep it " River Riding" capable.

a 4 gauge wire will fit through the steering shaft boot with no issue if you don't have a ton of other wires going through already.

Yea, I've seen posts where guys ran their cb cable w/ the screw on connector attached right through that. Plenty of room there.
