Default Rocky Road "Rock Rails"

Just added these and I'm pretty happy with the fit and finish.

Do they come powder coated or painted?

They come through powder coated a semi-gloss black. They fit right up to factory location and are "Hitch steel" very rugged. I added the step treads to them.

I'll snap a couple this weekend. They are fully boxed square tube with 45 degree angles on both ends. they mount to all the original locations.

It appears in the photo that there is a different texture where you would use them as a step to get into the vehicle, is this correct? If so when did you buy your sliders? I got mine earlier this spring and they are not like that. Not a huge deal but definitely have slipped once or twice on them when they are wet.

I added aluminum treads for just that reason. They are 1/8" thick and I coated them with bed liner paint. I used 3m tape on the back and they haven't moved or had a problem. I got the treads from my metal supplier.

I had their first version and the rails ended up getting pushed upwards towards the body when I ran through the Rubicon. Broke some panel clips, but nothing major. I hammered them out and then had a buddy reinforce the mounting points...
