Default 06 H3 and 4 low lock

Has anyone had issues of slipping automatic transmission in 4 low lock? It feels just fine in 4 high and 4 high lock. When in 4 low lock the engine revs up until it finally catches and jerks once it engages. Fluid level is fine. All other gears feel normal. Dealer is 90 miles away but still under warrantee for 6 more months.

It sounds like you just have to get rolling to make the shift happen. Try putting it in neutral and letting the brake off to relieve any driveline bind to see if that helps.

That's the transition from first to second gear you are feeling

The shift from 1-2 (with an auto) will be even more dramatic if you have the 4:1 T-case.

I've left it in first gear only and the RPMs have to get high before the truck even moves then all of a sudden it catches. This is all from a dead stop in neutral, then pressing the buttons to go to 4 H lock then to 4 L lock, then to first gear. Even if once it gets going and I stop again and step on the gas it will do the same thing. (all this in our loose gravel driveway)

It acts like the fluid is low and it has to build up enough pressure before it will move the truck. I'll admit my wife always drives it so she never uses the lower gear options. I just do it every couple of months to make sure it still works when and found this issue. I know 4 low lock is a very low gear but the truck should move when you press on the gas and not have to wait till it spools up.

Just looking for something to tell the dealer when I take it in. Always helps when you can tell them what to fix. This may just be something new.
