suspension compressor dead - please help
Got an 03 H2.
Been having issues with my air suspension for the last year. Bags were leaking about a year ago, but mostly only when on standard height. Being that they did not leak when at full height, about a year ago I just unplugged the compressor at full height and drove it that way for almost a year. Unfortunately though I let it leak for months before I did this mod, so the compressor got weak.
I finally replaced the bags with new a few months ago, so I plugged the compressor back in. Found that the compressor would not start unless I drove (would not work at stand still)? I suspected either the compressor was too weak, or the connectors corroded over the year as they connectors were left exposed when unplugged.
Now the compressor will not start at all, and after a few months the new bags have lowered a little and I need to raise them. I also have no power at the inflator in the back (the red light on the button does not even come on). Oh, and I get the service air suspension message all the time.
Does this sound like a bad connection, or is my compressor just totally dead? Any way to tell??
Also, I recall a while back reading that there is a way to raise the bags with an external compressor in cases of emergency. Anyone know how to do this??

Re: suspension compressor dead - please help
Were your doors closed? Compressor will not operate with doors open.

Do yourself a favor and save a lot of time and headaches, trash the bags and replace them with springs, super easy to do and you wont have to worry about them ever again.
