Re: ONSTAR REMOVAL
Pull the fuse. Check the manual for where that fuse is.

Re: ONSTAR REMOVAL
I could be wrong. I used to work at On*Star, I believe that the brains for the On*star are tied into the computer for the vehicle. I don't believe it is as easy as just removing it... Maybe I am wrong. I probably am. So just rip it out, take the fuse out, leave the harnesses in the dash

You were right, you were wrong.
You can just pull out the whole module and chunk it. Several people here have done it and used the space for an in dash CD changer along with Nav and other things.
If you do a search, you can find where some people have actually moved the buttons also and used the spot for something else.

Re: ONSTAR REMOVAL
Pull it. Absolutely no problems with doing so.

Re: ONSTAR REMOVAL
I believe you guys. Im sure you have done it.....
How is it not integrated with the ECU? I mean On*Star does diagnostic checks, it has to be linked somewhere...

Re: ONSTAR REMOVAL
The VCIM (Onstar module) is connected to the BCM via a class 2 circuit.
