Friends, I noticed when I close my rear door I get a "wobble" fromt he spare. I took off the plastic "hub cover" on the spare and see there is only 1 bolt holding her on (the one with the lock). Wondering if this is normal and if everyone else is experiencing this as well?

Thanks - can't remember when I enjoyed a daily driver so much!

Mine has 3 total. One locking nut and two regular nuts.

So I would suggest you get two more or take it to the dealer and complain that the spare wobbles and have them add the nuts under warranty.

3. Sounds like the dealer didn't do the PDI correctly or if you've had a flat the tire shop forgot.

In this case, I think 3 nuts is a good thing and likely the right answer

Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two,

I only have 2, oops wrong use of the word nuts.

Now I'm curious, but no wobble on the back door. I better take a look under my spare tire cover. Thanks for the warning.

S.

Thanks guys - my lock was in the open bag in the glovebox - I figured it was because they sent the paperwork in for me (to register the lock # in case you lose it). Hmm, I am wondering if they had the spare off and didn't put the lugs back - must have been, though I dont know if it was at the factory or dealer. No big deal - but now at least I can get rid of my first and only rattle.

3 and don't lose your key.

Also, I didn't think about it but when changing your spare make sure you just don't put it on. You might want to line the holes up correctly so that the hub cab points to 3 o'clock.

Not that I made the mistake or anything. Damn that tire is heavy.
