In my H3 Airbag Readiness Light came on and remains on all time. It happened after it was parked for 10 days, and when driving, it came on. What could be done to avoid taking it to the dealer (I live in the Ukraine, and I doubt that the dealers here are that knowledgeble.
Thanks.

Sorry, don't have an answer for you but have a question. Do you do code work? I have had a guy named Vitaliy who lives in the Ukraine do some work for me. If it was you, this is one hell of a small world.

I am in supermarket buisiness, so I am not the one. I believe Vitaliy is a common name in the Ukraine and Russia.

Thought it was, but had to ask. It would have been a scary small world though. Good luck with the airbag light issue.

No, it was for the driver's side (at the instrument panel cluster). But today it went away, and everything is normal. What could have happened?

Airbag lights typically don't reset themselves on gm vehicles, and usually require a trip to the dealer to get them reset.

Airbag codes will clear after 255 malfunction free ignition cycles unless it is A latched code in which case the SDM would need to be replaced.

Hmmmm, didn't know that. My tech buddies always told me that it had to be done with the techII. Good to know.

Had that happened to me. You can use "find" to find the thread. In short, it is a glitch in some vehicle (yours & mine ). You wait a long time for the parts to come from GM. But once fixed it seems ok. At least it has not happened again since last October. Good luck.

There are two latch codes; B0051 which is an actual deployment of the bag(s), and B0053 is a required deployment but a failure of a bag(s) to inflate.
However, B1530 is not a latched code (no deployment signals), but requires either the PPS or SDM to be replaced.

check under your drivers seat and make sure the small 2 wire connectors are actually connected well. They could be a little loose.
I forgot to connect them back after I had the seat removed and the light came on also....
