Default Tail light guard ?'s

I just got a pair of oem tail light guards off ebay and it seems that they screw in to the tail light on one side but the other side I think I need to stick on with double sided tape. This dosen't seem like it will be very secure. I got some outdoor double sided tape from home depot I am going to try. Is there a different way to mount them?

Double sided tape is the way they are mounted from the factory. When I swapped out my chrome guards for black ones, I used two (2) layers of outdoor double sided tape because a single layer wasn't as thick as the OEM tape. I always wondered where one could obtain the same tape that they used on the assembly line.
