Ive researched old topics but id like to specify and compare 3 tires...the Nitto Terra Grapplers, BFG a/t, and the Toyo MT.
I really like the aggressive look of the mud tires but i dont want to be buying tires every 15k miles and I do not want noise. I was thinking this means i will have to go for an all terrain, however i have seen claims of the Toyo MT being a quiet tire. As far as noise and tread life, how does the Toyo stack up to an all terrain(either the bfg or nitto).
If the Toyos are loud and have short lifes i will go with an all terrain(as i will do little wheeling, i just like the look of the m/t). Ive noticed the Terra Grapplers seem to be the most popular all terain and i am curious as to why most pick this tire. To me, it seems the bfg is more aggressive and therefore should perform better. Furthermore, i know the bfg to be a long lasting tire....so for those of you who have picked the Terra Grapplers over the BFG AT why did you do so?
btw, I plan on running a 325/60-20 on a 20x11 mkw m19 rim.

I got a good deal, so I have the Grapplers. They are not the most quiet tires I've ever owned.

I plan on going with the Toyo MT only cause the posts I've read say they are as quiet as stock whereas the Nitto MT's are very loud. Also, Les Schwab has their warranty on Toyo's not Nitto's.

The Open Country M/T, like Phil said, will make some noise after they wear a while, but it's not like bogger noise or anything. People ask me all the time if my tires make noise. I say, "Yes, seeing how they are MUD tires!" (in a nice way, though...hehe)
If you don't think you want a mud, take a look at the Open Country A/T. It's a great tire.

I have also found both the Toyo and the Nittos are on a national back order....with so many people running these tires, what do you do you do when you need a spare??

If you want a "street" MT get the Toyo MT's hand down. I had Nitto MG's and they were loud as hell. So I traded them in for Nitto TG's. This time around I got the Toyo MT's and love how quiet they are and the look, damn!
