heater issues
so i noticed last night that my passenger side blows full hot all the time. i can pull it down to show 60 on the ac panel but the heat is stays blowing outta the vents. only on the pass. side. the back and drivers vents will all go to cold. anyone have that issue? im guessing i have a stuck valve or possibly a bad heat/ac controller. ????

Re: heater issues
You will likely need a new right temp door actuator, the hardest one of them all to change. You could get the dealer to try a actuator recalibration with the tech 2 but its likely the actuator itself at fault

Re: heater issues
actually iam mistaken, my heat blows cold on the driver side and normal on the passenger side, this only happens if i crank at 90 (it stays hot ) and than when i turn it down and than try to put it back up it wont get hot again until i shut off the engine , soooo i cant turn the temp down and back up again normally, the pass side works fine thou, havent played with th ac yet

Re: heater issues
The left temp door actuator is the easy one. Just remove the right side ip insulator(plastic cover above passengers foot) and it is just to the right of the center console. I think they run around 100 bucks but im not sure exactly. The right side temp actuator is on top of the hvac unit, under the top of the dash. Difficult to get to but can be done by removing the top dash cover and then get a little creative to access it.

so im guessing with my luck the one under the dash is the one that controls the pass. side heat/air? what are the chances the the control unit went bad? is there anyway to trouble shoot this?
i think we need to set up a paypal fund for you and all the great insight u have into these trucks. thanks again

Re: heater issues
well i found one on gmparts direct. looks like its down to $40.00.. every where else its been around 120 or so...
hey also sorry im askin so may questions... im at work and the truck is at the house and i have very limited time to tear in to her so im trying to cover all my bases.... so u think its possible to have a fude blown that would only be running the pass. side? i know there are fuses for just about every light on the thing. im just wondering if it was on heat (since its been winter) blown a fuse and now it wont actuate. im just not sure if there are 2 dif. fuses for the system... hmmm. ive had a hell of a time with the electrics on this thing... im about to just re-wire the whole damn truck

Re: heater issues
The one under the dash controls the drivers side heat. No separate fuse for it, when they go bad they typically will default to the hot position. As well if the mode door actuator was bad it would normally default to the defrost position.

Re: heater issues
I re-read your post, the one under the dash but on top of the hvac unit controls the right side. the one just above the passengers foot towards the center controls the left side
