Default chrome be gone and 1" body lift ???

I'm wanting to get rid of my chrome door handles, chrome mirrors, and chrome side steps. How hard is it to swap the handles out with black ones and how hard is it to take off the side steps? Does anyone want to trade me the chrome for black? Does anyone want my factory chrome side steps?

Has anyone ever used the 1" body lift? Seems like a cheap add on to help clear 35"s.

The door handles and mirrors are not to bad to replace. On the front doors you do have to remove the plastic liner on the inside of the door to get to the bolts.

A 1" body lift is not necessary to clear 35's. There is plenty of room in the rear, and if you do a torsion bar crank you can gain some clearance in the front. Instead of the body lift get the bilstein shocks and bumpstops from Trailduty.

They will improve your ride after you lift the front of the truck.

do a search on here about the torsion bar crank. You can gain up to 2 inches of clearance in the front.

Cool! Enjoy the new look and ride of your H3.

Post your unwanted chrome in the classifieds.

The handles and mirrors are an easy fix. There's another hummer forum with posted how to's for both. And you dont have to remove the interior door panel to get the handles off. The torsion crank will clear 35's easily (only rubs on sway bar on tight turns).
