A customer may comment that the navigation radio presets listed on the left
side of the radio screen will display a song title or an artist instead of a
Station ID or Call letter. (Example: The preset reads ELVIS instead of 101.5 FM
or the call letters WKRP)
<A

Recommendation/Instructions:

Radio stations will display a RDS message that should only have the station
call letters or station ID number. Some stations will display the name of the
song that the station is currently playing or a artist name. This title will
show up on the preset of the radio. If the customer cycles the key, the preset
may read the name of the next song that the station is sending out or the
station may decide to go back to displaying a Station ID or Call letters. This
is a normal charteristic of the radio and no repairs should be attempted. (Note:
If a radio preset is reading the title of a song or artist and the customer
wants to see what Station Id is programmed to that desired preset. Have the
customer hit the preset that is displaying the song name/artist and the Station
ID number will be displayed in the middle of the radio screen.)
