Default Customer Service?

Its really getting frustrating lately to get decent customer service. This is not directed toward GM or Hummer. Seems like every time there is a 800 # someone who cant speak english as a first language answers the phone...
This sucks. Why do they have all these call centers overseas now!

RYD's right, cheaper labor overseas equates to people in the US freed up to do other things better suited for them.

It is funny to me also...however, that is what the professors teach in Macroeconomics. "Don't worry about the Microeconomics, it'll adjust as people become trained to do other things that suit them better." To which I always replied "Welcome to Wal-Mart!" "All those kids yours?"

Note that professors demand tenure protections so that they don't have to worry about being "freed up to do other things better suited for them."

In other words - They believe in the free market as long as it doesn't apply to them!
