Re: Tornado less than a mile from my house
Just after we moved back to the beach a tornado ripped through our old neighborhood wiping out many of the homes, damaging the hospital and leveling a shopping center.

I survived this one I was 5 at the time and my brother was in the preschool grad class. Mom decided we should leave rather than shelter in the church where the grad was being held, later we found out all those people had passed that stayed behind. We lived in Pecos but rural towns like saragosa all come to Pecos for schools. The pre kinder board opted to have the grad in Saragosa because if was the most central point for all rural towns to attend.
I was deployed for that one KEN but I remeber some of my fellow sailors had family out there, no loss of life just property damge for them.

Re: Tornado less than a mile from my house
I was getting a little nervous as we were getting close to the twister. There really isn?t any place to go on 470 and I started eyeing places to take the old H3 off roading through the fields
