What tire pressure is best for Toyo Open Country Tires?
I just purchased new wheels with 35x12.5x22 Toyo Open Country M/T tires and was just wondering what everyone else was running their tire pressure at. I will do mainly highway driving and the tire says 65 PSI max load. I have them set at 50 PSI right now. What is everyone else running? Thanks.

I saw on their site for the size tires I have in 20 inch to run them with 38 pounds.
You might want to check out their site or call them 50 pounds sounds high to me.

For the street, I ran mine at 36 psi on my 2006 H2. Gives you a good ride and doesn't increase wear that much. 50 psi definitely sounds high!

I run mine at 50psi on 20 inch rims, that is what the guy at the tires shop suggested. I am assuming a higher PSI would allow better mpg?? Not sure..

Short local driving high 30's ok for ride. Remember interstate travel tires get hotter and depending on load weight higher heat higher speed do not mix. May want to air up if long speed drives. You have to figure your situation out. Lower air hurts mpg but, not enough when we get 12+/-.

Sorry I'm just getting back to you. Ive only had the tires for about 7k miles now, but i love them so far. Hard to tell about wear yet, but i dont notice the road noise at all. Yes, they are louder than stock, but for a M/T, you cant beat them. I do only highway driving and i am very pleased.

Re: What tire pressure is best for Toyo Open Country Tires?
I had them on my H2. And now as of yesterday have them on my H1.
I run them at 38-39psi. Remember they heat up quickly and air expands.
They are louder than the factory tire but in the H2 you really can't tell difference that much as the truck is so well sound insulated.
On the H1.... Well They are alot louder than the Military OZ tires that are OEM. And you can certainly tell the difference as my H1 is an opentop.
If you over inflate you will wear out the center section of the tire alot faster. Under inflate and you'll wear out the shoulder lugs faster.
High 30's really is your best bet for pressure. At least I found that it makes them wear alot more even. Oh yeah and BTW I have over 40K miles on my Toyo M/T's now. So treadlife is really satisfactory.
