Default Anyone seen the Discovery series of PE

Just wondering if it is worth buying. It's the Discovery Channel's documentary of Planet Earth (7 disc series) and not the BBC version that is 5 disc. Thanks...Jamie

Not sure what the other two disc entail. I saw the BBC one at Target, came close to buying. Is it worth the $40 for the 5 disc set? By your response, I am assuming so. Thanks for the input....Jamie

We thought the series was awesome.

We'd record it so the 12 yr old could watch it the next day.

if you have kids, it's worth it. IMHO.

BBC version at COSTCO.COM

11 part series from Discovery.com

You sure don't know how to get the most out of Al Gore's web.

Ah thanks drty hidef disks have larger capacity so thats why its fewer discs. At the time i got them only the bbc version was on hi def so I guess there is no difference other than the voice. If you have the hi def player and the right tv its amazing. In fact its worth buying the equipment, its that good. Anytime somone comes over they can watch the series for hours.
