My plans got changed for this past weekend and ended up in Dallas to visit a friend. There was a Auto show in motion by GM going on over a 4 day period and they had a Hummer factory guy there so of course just had to visit with him. They had all the makes and models and letting You drive courses. They had built a dirt H2 course and letting anyone with an escort rider with GM drive track. It was hilareous as it was raining lightly for hours and everyone kept driving in same tracks and got to high centering them and getting to top with not enough speed to get over hill start spinning and sliding and having to back back down. Well You had to be there FUNNY. Young girls ,boys, moms,, dads, but saw some folks that after they got out of H2 had to be helped with there cane in hand helped over to spectator area. It was a circus because of the different type of people driving.
Well sorry to the point.
I do not know if it has been mentioned in any post but He said the H3 is on the Colorado truck chasis. Just thought I'd pass this on in case it had not been mentioned. I thought it was going to be on Trail Blazer chasis. They did not have any info posted about the H3 being available that I could find. Hummer guy said He did not know why. He said for some reason at this traveling show it has not been a topic to include.
Anyway was interesting day. Got to drive SSR I pushed it hard and it had a GM guy in it. I kept hitting turns using apex of curve etc. to see how it would handle. Half way thru I asked Him why was he cutting my power as I could feel it let off as I was trying accelerate properly to go thru curves correctly, He said how did you no that as it is very suttle, I guess most have not noticed it. He had a small pedal on passenger side under right foot to cut throttle back. He said the Vette's had it also. Also drove a new Pontiac coming out this year, small do not remember what they called it but ran like a scared pup. Had to drive it to get drive the top of the line stuff.
Anyone looking at 05 trucks are going to be happy as they had a tire and rim tent set up and there is going to be a great selection for trucks rather than just what they want on it for rim. It looked like there was at least 6 different rims for fullsize truck.
