Re: De-chrome my H2
You did a good job! I like it
Were you the one looking for factory silver paint code in another post?
If your open to suggestions-I'd black out the door handles. You are going to want the handles powdercoated, I wouldn't recommend paiting them as its a high wear area. I'd just look for someone selling a used pair, even if its pitted chrome- thats ok..media blasting will take care of that. Get the second set done so you dont have any down time on your ride. While your in there, you should find a set of billet door handle pockets and get those powdercoated black also. Those factory plastic door handle pockets are a serious security risk to your ride.

Well, for now, i'm happy with a little chrome left on the truck....maybe soon, if i got tired looking on that chrome door handles...i might send them powdercoated.

Re: De-chrome my H2
Thats not something thats easily swapped out anyway. There's a pin that usually needs to be drilled out to get the door pull off.

Re: De-chrome my H2

Re: De-chrome my H2
Looks great . Couldn't agree more about needing a lil chrome. Just not a big fan of the BLACKED OUT theme.
Do you have to take the winch off to open the hood? Is that a PIA?
How is the H2 received in Quebec? Do most love it? Or hate it?

Thanks, i think a 'lil chrome will still take me home .
Yes, that's the only problem of the portable winch, everytime i open the hood, i have to remove it from the hitch and that's 120 lbs. I'm thinkin' to mod my front bumper, so i can permanently install the winch at the same time get my approach angle back .
Here in Quebec, it's mixed..well, i've got the thumbs up for most people and some have nothin' to do but criticize people that drives Hummer .

Re: De-chrome my H2
Love it, love it. Black on black on black, that's the only way to go in my opinion. Been saving up for my black paint job for a while; tried to think of some other cool colors that could work, but then realized that black is the only way to go. Just can't see anything that looks better, especially on a Hummer. Seeing a blacked out H1 is almost too much for my eyes to handle all at once, makes everything I have ever looked at in my life look stupid after seeing something that hot.
