I think that is BS. I agree with this guy.
"They can't tell you how to spend your money," said one veteran tradesman. "It's still a free country."
But if I worked there I would probably drive something from Ford like this guy.
"You buy what you build," said Rufus McWilliams. "That only makes sense."

I wonder if they're looking out in the parking lot for the 30,000 candidates they plan to lay off?

I hear lawsuit already...
Whatever happened to that guy (who works for Miller or Coors) that was fired because he was photographed by some local newspaper drinking a Bud Light after work?

More innovations from Ford. No wonder they bring the big suck.

In my opinion, Ford is not telling them how to spend their money, their just saying if you work here you'll drive a Ford or park off of our property. They can buy whatever they wan't, just don't park the other brands in our parking lot. It isn't any different than where I work, I have to wear a certain color of shirt. They are not telling me I can't buy other colors, they are just saying just don't where them here. See my point.

It's all horse $hit! And I can't believe the UAW is siding with the company on this.

Ford can do what they want with UAW cooperation. IMHO, it's stupid, but they can do it -- -- and I'm about as conservative as anyone in this forum.

I know I'm the oddball one here but coming from a Northern town where GM's were built, I know how particular a plant can be.
Personally, I agree with it. When you revolve your life around a plant and your livelihood depends on it, I think you should give the people that support their own products preferential treatment such as better parking spaces.
I know in Lordstown, I have seen many a VW bug upside in the parking lot when an employee had the guts to drive it onto plant property and park it there.
Perhaps making them drive Fords is a little excessive but they should at least buy American.

Why wouldn't they support it??? More employees buy Fords, more Fords are built, more people are hired back, they collect more in union dues.

I used to be a vendor to several plants in Detroit. Long time ago when I made my first business trip to Detroit, the rental car I picked up was a Honda. I didn't think I'd make it out of the Ford plant alive. Heck, back then, I think it was the only import in Detroit.
