The quarantine on the roof-mounted off-road lamps and marker lamps have been lifted -- they figured out a new way to wire them that reduces the risk of a broken windshield during installation.

How big is the risk for a broken windshield? Maybe I'll do without the Roof Marker Lights.....

Nothing changed on the actual product, just in the way they install them...Its a different way of doing the wiring.

How many labor hours does it take to install them?

So does this actually mean - No broken windshields....I should feel comfortable having the roof marker lights added at the dealership?

3 labor hours, firm. -- and yes, lobo, you should feel comfortable having the dealer install them -- if they got the updated instructions.

Without sounding crazy - would there be any reason the dealership....wouldn't have the updated instructions?

Shouldn't be -- but if they had no idea they were under quarantine and now are not, I'd be careful...

Lifted quarantine is good, but why do the dealers have to install them? Why not leave it up to the factory?? Has this been an H2 problem? I doubt it. Come on GM!! Can't believe we are talking about broken windshields!!

So do you think it's ok to let the dealer install these lights? Can we get GMS pricing on the lights if we get them installed after we get the car?

Hummer relies on personalization to help the dealership to make money, not that this is bad. But if you did this at the factory, this would drive up the cost at the factory for the people to install all these options and the space to install these items. I don't think we would have the room. We barely had the room to add all the H3 parts to the truck mix.
