Warranty issue - headrest DVD's - '06 SUT
Hey all - I bought an 06 SUT privately and discovered that the passenger headrest DVD isn't working right. I took it in to my local dealer (Armen Cadillac/Hummer) and they told me it's not factory and so no way for them to fix it under warranty.
Although the system doesn't say GM or Hummer on it anywhere, when you turn it on there is an H2 Hummer splash screen that comes up. This is clearly something that was installed by either the factory or the dealer at purchase.
Any advice on how to get this fixed under warranty?
Thanks - and thanks for the great forum!

Nice looking H2 Congratulations! If you bought it privately, you might be out of luck on getting the headrest fixed. It might be cheaper to pick up one on Ebay???

Great looking SUT!! I'm not sure about that one. I know it was offered by the factory. I have the LE and mine was factory installed.

visualogic is usually the factory installed units, If it is truely broke, ebay would be your best bet to get replaced as said earlier. Good luck

Re: Warranty issue - headrest DVD's - '06 SUT
my 06 sut has the factory dvd and headrest , the monitors say hummer across the bottom of them and the dvd player is built in the center console with a f/m transmitter next to it . see if you have the same setup?

Re: Warranty issue - headrest DVD's - '06 SUT
Turns out it is an Invision product. I contacted the original dealer who confirmed that it was put on at the time of purchase - part of a GM promotion and thus is covered under the factory warranty. Funny thing is the dealer gave me the Vizualogic name and number for my local dealer to obtain the parts even though it's an Invision.
The control module is on order and will hopefully be resolved soon.
As you guys suggested they are on ebay - here's an example

THANKS for the comments.

Re: Warranty issue - headrest DVD's - '06 SUT
Visualogic was used prior to 2006....then HUMMER did a huge promotion about free DVDs on 06 H2 and H3 models, and the unit was made by Invision - which is a great unit from what I've seen. Their new product is even better...
