Still in my jammies drinking coffee. Playing around on the computer.

I am going to spend the day in the kitchen making stuff for the week- chicken salad etc and I'm going to puree some stuff to sneek into my 5 y/o daughter's food a la Jessica Seinfeld.

Rain-a-dega according to the Weather Channel. Good luck on that one.

CP - how is that book? I got the one that came out prior to the Seinfeld hype but haven't cooked much from it yet.

How is it possible that someone who makes a 6-figure salary can consistently screw up so bad and STILL keep their job? We were supposed to have a massive cold front come through this morning. Thunderstorms galore, high of 71F at midnight and temps steadily dropping into the 50s. Well, it's 1:30, it's SUNNY, and 75F. Temps rising and not a drop of rain. Morons.

Spent the morning weeding though paint colors for the guest room. Now that the kid is out I can inhale nasty life-threatening fumes again. Have a rug and drapes on order as well....if I can get the place painted next weekend, then it should be almost complete by the time my little bro and his wife come by in mid-May. Then on to the playroom decor...

BTW - 31-cent scoop night at Baskin Robbins this Wednesday. Whoo hoo!!!!

Kinda cute how mostly the girls answer this week. Just got out from skimming the pool before it rains and gets messy. Still too cold to enjoy fully but the water temp is up to 80 now. I'm fixing to tackle the first bedroom mess. We have two spare bedrooms that we put stuff in and within weeks they get to where you can't move in them so they have to be cleaned. Rich is doing something with doors and a saw. Later we'll have some steaks on the grill and watch the Big Brother finale, some Desperate Housewives, go get some coffee at Starbucks and have a few drinks. PS I quit smoking last Monday so almost a week. Now I can taste my coffee. LOL

It's cute. It's got little 50's type cartoons of her family throughout. There is an index to all the fruits and vegetables explaining how to prepare each one for a puree- mainly steaming and roasting. Then how to store them.

One of the co-authors is Dr. Mehmet Oz- if you're into him, I didn't even know.

Pretty basic recipes- ie: the pancakes are pretty normal except you add a few tbsp. of banana puree. Chicken nuggets. Some stuff is pretty adultish but it's good for the husband too.

Some interesting cool ones- ie: scrambled eggs with a little cauliflower puree and parmesean cheese. Green eggs (spinach)

She also gives tips like when you are cooking- give the kids the vegetables first while you are fixing the nuggets or bread or whatever you know they like.

I'm pretty excited about it. I have had the book for awhile but am just getting started. I'll give the straight up stuff to the baby when he is ready.
