Recommendation/Instructions:

Due to possible mirror glass to mirror housing interference, the power
folding mirrors will not fold inward unless the mirror glass is in an acceptable
position. Each door module monitors its respective mirror to determine
acceptable mirror glass position by its position sensor voltage. An acceptable
mirror glass position is 2.8 volts or less for both horizontal and vertical
positions. This voltage can be monitored using the Tech 2 under the respective
door module, Data Display, Data, parameter "Mirror Horizontal Position" and
"Mirror Vertical Position". If the mirror glass is not in an acceptable position
when attempting to fold the mirrors inward, the respective door module will
first command it's mirror glass to move. Once the Horizontal and Vertical
feedback voltages are 2.8 volts or less the mirror head will fold inward. Note:
BOTH drivers and passenger side mirror glass must be within the acceptable
feedback voltage, if not NEITHER mirror head will fold inward.

.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If
the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining
steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition,
please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic
approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not
be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
<A
