Greetings all!

I just bought a H3 tbis past Saturday. I was going to put Bosch Platinum 4s in the vehicle until I opened the hood and realized I have no idea where the spark plugs are on the H3 - I have never owned an inline-5 before.

Any assistance you could provide would be appreciated - I guess my old skill mech' knowledge has finally become useless.

Also, does anyone know where I can find a schematics layout of the H3 engine and wiring assemblies?

Thanks,
Chris

CONGRADS & welcome.

Remember this forum is full of info, full of chit, full of good wishes and full of BS...

The plugs are under the Fastone, next to the Whatchamacallit...

Congrats on the new H3. Enjoy.

Consider leaving the OEM sparkplugs alone. You might be doing more harm than good by futzing with them.

Remove the air inlet resonator, the large box on top of the engine, and the plugs are right in the middle of the valve cover.
But as Steve says, leave 'em alone. They are good plugs and you will not realize anything with Bosch Platinum plugs.
There is a good chance, the plugs used are already platinum or even better yet, iridium. Not exactly sure which are used on the H3.

Yeah like a few have already said leave the plugs alone the bosch are not going to benifit you at all. The plugs on it are good for 100k anyways so it would be a total waste of money.

Thanks for all of the responses. I spoke to a colleague at work who drag races professionally and he told me the same thing about the plugs - re: don't mess. I emailed the dealer today to find out the plug specs so I'll let everyone know about the response.

Also, if anyone knows about Stabilitrak issues, please see my posting from this evening - I am not getting any response from the button... Again, perhaps my innocent ignorance of having driven vehicles without such a function.

Thanks,
Chris
