The leather seats are very comfortable .. and don't retain odors (like cloth seats do) when brought into the vehicle, like food smells.

Re: Cloth V.S. Leather
Me got's the Leather... But .. I also spent the bucks for the GM HUMMER optional off road seat covers for the front and rear seats. The also have the head rest covers that are embrodered with The HUMMER logo.
In the winter I use just the driver seat cover. And when I go off road ..I use them all. The seat cover material is very comfortable and durable and fits well.
I picked them up thru my dealer and he gave me a very good price. They are expensive but to me well worth it.

Re: Cloth V.S. Leather
I like the heated leather seats in the H3!
This is my first with leather seats and I'll take leather any day.
So cars now have ventilated leather with heat and ac!
I have a cover for the back seat which I put on on for camping trips top protect it from from the dog's feet , claws and mud etc.

Here's a pic off of the HUMMER site..under Accesories/Interior.
Open it in a pic viewer and enlarge it. This is the largest pic on the site.

Re: Cloth V.S. Leather
I have the cloth seats and honestly I don't like them. I think they look cheap and stain quite easily. Especially if you have kids. I never thought I'd say it- but there's only 2 things I'm really missing about my Element- first being the seats (that cloth was kick ass) and the second- the damn built in ipod jack. Next H3 (or h2) I get will definitely have leather...

Heh Steve..the list price is I think $325.00..!!! I paid $260.00 thru my dealer. They are expensive..however... they use Velcro straps and are tailored with beading around all of the Power seat switch openings etc.
The fronts also go on very easy and velcro together. I haven't used the rears yet but I'm sure they will fit well also. After a while they will mold down into the seats and follow all of the contours.
I like them.

Re: Cloth V.S. Leather
I've never been a big fan of leather till I got my H3. I've always thought the leather would get too hot and tear eaisily. I was also worried about them getting dryed.cracked. I also thought that cloth was more comfortable.
The H3 does not have any of these issues when it comes to the leather. It's very comfortable, easy to clean and very durrable. After having through the summer, I can tell you that the seats have not been a problem with the heat.
The cloth in the H3 has these same good qualities too, so I guess you just have to ask yourself is it worth paying for the heated adjustable seats (as well as the feel of the leather).
The H3 was the first vehicle I ever purchased where I could get what I wanted "fully loaded" Since I didn't want chrome, I bought my blue H3 with everything else I wanted.
